CDMP® Fundamentals Study Group Fall 2026

DAMA-Minnesota is pleased to offer a CDMP® Fundamentals Condensed Study Group to support data professionals preparing for the Certified Data Management Professional (CDMP) exam.

This condensed study group follows the DAMA-DMBOK® v2 and revised editions and is structured around the CDMP Fundamentals exam blueprint. Presentation material is self-studied and then group meets for a guided discussion and Q&A by experienced practitioners and CDMP credential holders. 

The study group includes:

  • Weekly slide decks for you to self-study, focused on the most heavily weighted exam materials

  • Weekly discussion group for Q&A, exam tips, and practice questions

  • A structured, chapter-by-chapter approach aligned to exam weighting

  • A collaborative learning environment with peers across DAMA chapters

Schedule:

  • August 31 - October 5
  • Monday evenings, 6:00–7:30 PM Central Time
  • Proctored Exam, October 7 @ DAMA Data Conference in Shoreview, MN

Exam registration and fees are managed separately through DAMA-International.  Once again, we are authorized to offer the DAMA-International sponsored Pay-If-You-Pass CDMP Fundamentals or any specialty exams. Sit for the exam at no cost. When you pass, pay the $300 fee and become officially certified. A score of 60% or great grants the Associate certificate and the CDMP title after your name; a score of 70% or great grants the person the Practitioner certification, and a score of 80% opens the door to the Data Master certification. 

All study group sessions will be conducted virtually. You can take the exam in person on October 7 ($300) or online on your own timing ($311).

  • Practicing data management professionals seeking a structured refresher

  • DAMA members from Minnesota and partner chapters preparing for the October exam

Planning to Take a Specialty Exam?
If you’re preparing for a CDMP specialty exam, please coordinate with the CDMP Study Group Coordinator and register directly with the CDMP Support Team. They will help ensure the appropriate specialty exam is selected and made available for you on exam day.

$25 for non-members (reciprocity applies)
