DAMA Chicago Q1 chapter meeting:
Wednesday, February 19th at 9:00AM - 12:00PM
The event explores the critical role of data governance in the insurance and wealth & asset management industries, addressing common challenges and outlining effective solutions.
In insurance, the key problems include data silos, poor data quality, compliance issues, and the lack of advanced analytics capabilities. These challenges lead to inefficiency, profitability issues, and delays in innovation. This topic highlights how insurers have tackled these problems through data standardization, centralized data repositories, and the use of advanced technologies like AI and machine learning. The impact of these solutions includes better risk management, operational transformation, and cost savings, resulting in more agile and customer-centric operations.
In wealth and asset management, issues such as data duplication, regulatory non-compliance, and slow data processing hinder client trust and operational efficiency. This topic will discuss items such as data consolidation, automated compliance tracking, and real-time data processing, which improve decision-making, enhance client satisfaction, and ensure stronger regulatory compliance. The benefits of these measures include increased operational speed, improved client retention, and a more responsive approach to market dynamics.
By being part of this event, you will gain insights into how data governance can drive operational efficiency, improve compliance, foster innovation, and enhance customer experience across both industries. These strategies not only mitigate risks but also contribute to sustained growth and competitiveness.
